Good Fellows isn't just a farm...

sacred friends

reverancy

sacred faces

This weekend a parent of a child in my class took Karen (fellow ex-pat) and I to Good Fellows Farm. What a treat to be around organic and home grown vegetables. We shared a bag of spinach and a artichoke foccacia bread. Yummy! I even spied some familiar names like "kirkland signature"...oh how i miss costco. On the way there, we made a stop at this place just off the beaten path. It is called the Sacread Space. Apparently the carved statues are to fend off bad spirits and supposedly are looking to Africa, however they faces were going in all directions. Pretty normal for Bahamian history I guess.

After going to the farm, we headed to the beach for a few hours where we soaked up the sun, read books and dipped in the water. The water's not entirely warm but after a few quick dunks you're okay. I hope that changes as it warms up. We met up with another fellow teacher just as we were getting ready to go and swapped work stories. Oh the drama of it all!
